At Church Knowle Rural Learning we offer a quality alternative approach to education, for children and teenagers aged 8 to 16 years old. Rooted in the beauty of the Dorset countryside, our rural open air learning environment provides a hands-on, nature-based curriculum that nurtures personal growth, confidence, and practical skills.Â
By incorporating elements of the National Curriculum within students’ activities, the learning process is enhanced as are educational outcomes. With small student numbers and a supportive community, children explore subjects through real-world experiences—whether it’s growing vegetables, caring for animals or working on outdoor projects. We are able to provide an individual educational experience based on the specific needs of the learner. We work alongside schools to help reengage children to enable and empower them to return to mainstream education wherever possible.
Ideal for young people seeking a more personalised, engaging path to education, Church Knowle Rural Learning helps students reconnect with a love of learning in a way that inspires creativity and resilience within the beautiful Purbeck Countryside.
